Justin Brevik founded Stain Wranglers alongside his wife and co-owner, Ayla. Together, they’re raising two children in Arizona and building a company their family can be proud of for generations.
The name comes from the life behind the business: horses, working with your hands, keeping your word, and taking pride in what carries your name.

Where it started
Justin grew up in Pinetop, Arizona, in the White Mountains. Mountains, pine trees, horses, equipment, and outdoor life were part of growing up. So was learning to work with his hands.
His dad and grandpa were two of his biggest influences. They taught him that hard work was something people could see: show up when you say you will, figure things out, take care of what you own, and finish the job correctly even when that takes more effort.
Your reputation matters. Your word matters. And if you put your name on something, you should be proud to stand behind it. Those lessons came long before Stain Wranglers. Today, they’re part of its foundation.
The “Wranglers” in our name
Justin has spent years around horses and team roping. The Western identity of Stain Wranglers comes from that life and the responsibility that goes with it.
Horses still need feeding when you’re tired or work runs late. There are stalls to care for, equipment to maintain, trailers to prepare, and things to repair. The work keeps going after the part most people see.
Team roping teaches patience and humility, too. You make mistakes, work out what went wrong, practice, and do it again. There aren’t many shortcuts. That mindset carries naturally into restoration.
Family, responsibility, craftsmanship, and keeping your word are the reasons the name fits. They’re part of how Justin lives and works.
A lifetime of working with his hands
Before founding Stain Wranglers, Justin spent roughly 13 years working as a welder and mechanic. That meant fabrication, troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and understanding how things work.
He later worked as a heavy overhaul mechanic for the Central Arizona Project, where attention to detail and getting the job right mattered. That background still shapes how he approaches a worn floor or a damaged countertop.
When a surface has lost its original appearance, he wants to understand what changed and whether it can be restored. It’s the thinking behind the message on his shirt:

A family of four, building something lasting
Justin and Ayla are building the company while raising their two children. In a family business, work and home often overlap. There are conversations about customers, equipment, training, scheduling, and where the company is going.
Their children see the early mornings, the equipment, Dad coming home dirty from a job, and Mom and Dad working through decisions. They see what goes into building something of your own.
Justin and Ayla want their children to learn the same lessons passed down by Justin’s dad and grandpa. Success matters, but so does building something the next generation can be proud of.
Arizona is home
The White Mountains will always be part of Justin’s story. Today, the Valley is where the family lives, rides horses, raises their children, and builds the business.
They love the cool winter mornings, blue skies, desert sunsets, and time outside together. A trip north brings them back to the pine trees, mountains, and snow Justin grew up around. Their children get to experience both sides of Arizona.
The people who trust Stain Wranglers with their homes are part of the same community. This is our home, too.
Craftsmanship still matters
Stain Wranglers began with more traditional floor and surface cleaning. Over time, Justin became increasingly interested in why surfaces become damaged and how to restore them. That led to professional training, specialized equipment, and a greater focus on hard-surface restoration.
Today, the work includes natural stone restoration, honing and polishing, etch and scratch removal, tile and grout restoration, grout color sealing, showers, and countertops.
Justin continues to invest in professional education, including IICRC training, MB Stone training, and hands-on natural stone restoration training. Every stone and every home brings something different. Learning the craft never really stops.
Our aim is to understand the material, notice the details, respect the home, and stand behind the work. Education and professional equipment help us put those principles into practice.
