A white or peeling surface can be failed sealer, mineral buildup, moisture, or a worn coating. The right repair depends on which one it is.
Failed sealer
Cloudy, blistered, or peeling sealer must be corrected before the deck can be protected again.
Efflorescence and moisture
White bloom can return when moisture keeps moving through concrete or pavers. We look for the source before sealing.
Worn coating or topping
If the surface layer itself is gone, cleaning will not rebuild it. We will tell you when an overlay contractor is the better fit.

Can you remove a cloudy or peeling pool deck sealer?

Do you apply Kool Deck, cool deck, or a deck coating?
No. We clean, correct, and protect the travertine, flagstone, concrete, or paver surface already there. If the deck needs a new overlay or structural repair, we will say so.
Does this include the coping and the step edges, or just the deck?
Cleaning and mineral removal can include sound coping and step edges. Loose coping, failed mortar, or waterline tile replacement needs a hardscape or pool contractor.
There are cracks and one corner has dropped. Can that be sorted at the same time?
Cracked, sunken, or moving concrete is structural work and should be repaired first. We handle the surface after the deck is stable.
